French Manicure

So whilst I am on placement I'm not allowed to wear nail polish :( When I have a few days off I have to paint my nails! So I've gone for a french manicure. I bought this Bourjois set ages ago and forgot about it. The white pot has an amazing brush which is shaped to make it easier for you to paint the tips of your nails which is perfect for a nail noob like me :)

I don't have the steadiest hand so it's not very good. Anyone have any tips for me? Thank you lovely people.

  1. It looks gorgeous! I have never attempted to French manicure my nails, I feel like I'd be useless! When I wanted stripes on my nails the other week, I used washi tape as a kind of stencil and it worked really well! The base coat didn't come off when I took the tape off, and it was a pretty neat and even line for the stripe. I bet if you cut the washi tape rounded, it would work well for a French manicure too :) xx

  2. Thanks for these tips. I love a French Manicure but always find it difficult to get the white nail tip right.

  3. We're learning how to do a french mani at college at the moment, and we do the white tip first.
You many have done this, but i didn't even think of doing it before, then you paint the pink over.

    Practice makes perfect i guess

  7. I can never keep my hands steady to do a proper manicure, however I did used to have a nail art brush which was a really long and thin we..brush basically ha! But they help loads for doing stuff like this, so might help!
