My Old Dutch

My friend Rose and I went to My Old Dutch in Holborn central London recently and oh man they have such delicious pancakes! They have a huge selection of sweet and savoury pancakes plus other options if you don't fancy pancakes such as salad (gross) and nachoes. Waffles are also on the menu which are always a great alternative.
Rose and I started with a savoury pancake to share it was topped with asaragus, mushrooms, onions, olives and cheese! The pancake was huge I was full after I finished my half but I had to have a sweet one too! Our sweet pancakes we shared had banana, cream and delicious caramel sauce on the side! I rolled out of the door I was so full but so content.
I would definitely recommend this place, it's lovely and relaxed and you won't leave unsatisfied!
Have you been to My Old Dutch?

Morticia

Gilet - Dorothy Perkins (similar)
Tights - Primark (similar)

Following the Halloween inspiration post why not post an all black outfit? Photoing an all black outfit proves a little difficult or maybe this dress isn't as nice as I think it is! I always wear longer lengths when the sun is out to cover my skin but I'm trying to bring this into the Autumn/Winter fashion as I find it super comfortable to wear. Because I'm only nearly 5ft2 I always avoided longer lengths well this is about to change.
I bought this gilet last year and when I dug it back out of storage I fell back in love. It's so cosy and easy to wear. Especially this time of year when it's not cold enough to fully wrap up.

Halloween 2015

With Halloween just around the corner I thought I would do a fancy dress inspiration post. I did one of these two years ago, yep apparently I've been blogging for a long time now! But I thought hey why not do it again! As I may have one or two outfits to add to the collection. My friends and I are a big fan of fancy dress but as I've got older the dressing up occasions have really slowed down :(

So apparently I really like dressing up! This is the second Halloween I'm missing due to being on holiday. Last year I was in New York where I got to see the parades and this year I will be in the south of Spain! This time next week I will be on holiday YES!

Book Worm #2

As I'm reading more and more lately I thought hey why not include in my blog, especially as I've been pretty lazy on the blog front! Not sure if people will be interested in reading this types of posts but I'll give it ago anyway. Recently I've been back to Cornwall so the train journey gives me a lot of time to read as each way is 6 hours.
7 Deadly Sins - Corey Taylor

So I read Corey Taylor's (from Slipknot) 7 Deadly Sins. I personally wouldn't read this again as I found it a bit on the moany side and a little too preachy for me. I was hoping it was going to be a little more on the autobiography side. It did include some life stories but not enough. To be fair it was well written and I did like the idea of him relating his life to each of these so called sins.
The Girl on the Train - Paula Hawkins

I downloaded the girl on the train on my kindle as I was just looking for anything to read and it was on the top of their list. I wasn't expecting to enjoy this book quite so much as I did! It was one of those books that I struggled to put down. I really liked the characters and how it all came together. The main character is at a low in her life and has an issue with drinking when one night a girl who she has been watching from the train goes missing and she can't remember what happened that night. I would definitely recommend reading this.

I don't want to write too much about the story line as I don't want to ruin anything for people who are going to read the books.

Contrast

Fishnets - Primark (similar)
Shoes - Converse

Oh hey look I've posted an outfit! I'm pretty shocked at myself for even managing to do this let alone knowing that I have others scheduled....
I've done a little bit of shopping recently and these two pieces are recent purchases. I've been wanting a new leather skirt for a while and saw this in Zara for £25 and couldnt resist as it fits beautifully.
This tshirt is from Monki via ASOS and it's totally different to anything I own, for starters it has colour in it and I really like the high neck. I think I will also pair this tshirt with my pinafores/dungarees.
